The Turkish army dispatched new reinforcements to the Turkish checkpoints in Idlib province Thursday.
The reinforcements include military vehicles, armored vehicles and ammunition which came from various regions of Turkey, Anadolu Agency reported according to military source.
In May 2017, Turkey, Russia and Iran had reached a “de-escalation zone” agreement in Idlib, in the meeting of Astana.
Turkey has established 12 checkpoints in the de-escalation zone under the Astana Agreement.
It's noteworthy that Turkish military convoy was attacked last Monday on its way to the Ninth observation post south of Idlib province, which resulted in the death and injury of 12 civilians, who were close to the military convoy, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman, Protector Aksoy, told Sputnik, on Thursday, that the ninth Turkish observation post in the city of Morek will remain in its place despite the siege of the regime forces.
