The Turkish army is willing to deploy several observation posts in the southern countryside of Idlib to prevent the regime forces from advancing into the last rebels' stronghold, a reliable source told Baladi News.
The most important post of which is near the city of Khan Sheikhoun, the source said.
The National Army will be affiliated to the Turkish observation posts in Idlib, and several convoys of the National Army's fighters will arrive in Idlib in the following few hours, the source pointed out.
Earlier today, a Turkish military convoy has entered the province of Idlib and was targeted by the Assad warplanes in an attempt to stop it.
In February, Baladi News Arabic revealed that Turkey is willing to establish new observation posts on the highway which links Morek in Hama with Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib, and that the aim of establishing them is to prevent the regime forces from taking control over the road which leads to the observation post in Morek.
The Turkish decision of sending reinforcements to Khan Sheikhoun provoked Russia, whose forces and mercenaries advanced to the south of Khan Sheikhoun, the source said to Baladi News, so it tried to hinder the arrival of the convoy by giving orders to target it with rockets and machine guns, in order to raid Khan Sheikhoun and thwart the Turkish scheme.
It's noteworthy that Assad warplanes targeted the Turkish convoy several times, killing a member of Faylaq al-Sham who was accompanying the convoy and injuring six other fighters in Maarat Al-Numan.
