The Assad regime forces backed by Russian warplanes captured the hill of Skeik south of Idlib, following deadly clashes with the Syrian opposition factions, Baladi News correspondent reported.
During the clashes, the opposition factions destroyed 2 tanks belong to the regime forces, killed a member and arrested a group of the Assad fighters, Baladi correspondent added.
The clashes are still going on in an attempt by the opposition factions to recapture the position taken by the regime forces early Saturday.
It's noteworthy that Syrian opposition faction liberated the village of Skeik and its hill from the Assad forces in October 2015 following fierce clashes,and this happened in conjunction with the intervention of the Russian forces in the Syrian war.
