The Islamic group Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) announced the failure of the ceasefire in the Syrian north, saying that any shelling by Assad or Russian forces in the northwest of Syria will be considered as a violation and it will be responded to.
In a statement released by HTS on Friday, it said that toppling the Assad regime, releasing the detainees, and securing a safe return for the refugees and displaced people; are the aims of the Syrian Revolution which the HTS is still working for, and that it will react to any bombardmet in the Syrin north by Assad regime forces.
The statement said that Assad and Russia's military campaign against northwestern Syria which started more than 90 days ago has faild, asserting that the Syrian regime is too weak now to make any progress without using the scorched earth policy.
