Regime forces target Turkish observation post in Hama

BALADI NEWS

The Assad regime forces targeted once more the Turkish observation point in Hama's northern countryside, which is located in the de-escalation zone.

The Assad forces and Iran-backed militias targeted the observation point number 10 in Morek city, with an artillery bomb, no casualties or damages reported, the Anadolu Agency said.

On April 29 and May 4, and 19, the regime forces targeted the same point with rocket bombs.

The Turkish army has established 12 observations points in the de-escalation zone of Syria's northwest, in order to insure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, signed in Astana.

On September 17, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan alongside with his Russian counterpart announced signing an agreement in Sochi, which states the establishment of a demilitarised zone between the oppositions and regime forces in Idlib and the northern region.

The Assad forces, backed by Iranian militias continue violating the agreement, killing hundreds of civilians and forcing thousands to flee.

The Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar declared last month that the Turkish forces will not withdraw from their position in Idlib, despite the military campaign waged by Assad forces in the area.
