Deir Al-Zour: 2000 employees dismissed

Assad's regime government issued a circulated note a few days ago that includes a refusal to renew the annual contracts for a number of employees in the governorate of Deir al-Zour, who are staying outside the regime-held regions in areas besieged by the state organization. The pretext behind their dismissal was; the fact that they are not in the governorate.

The note explained that "All temporary employees at the governorate circles, who are currently staying outside the governorate, shall commit to work and put themselves at the disposal of their directorates by the date of 1/4/2016 "

The note was approved and signed by the regime-appointed governor of Deir al-Zour "Mohammed Kaddour Alayneah"

Assad's regime had, a few months ago, moved all governmental directorates and institutions in Deir al-Zour to what is left of neighborhoods under his control, after the rebels expelled his troops from most of the regions in Deir al-Zour, including the city center which was a clustering point for most governmental directorates and institutions.

The majority of population had no other choice but to head to regime-held areas before the state organization's members seize control over them in the mid of January 2015, which in turn forced them to flee again after the drastic deterioration of their living conditions.

"The Justice Observatory" said in a statement that "The number of employees included in this resolution is about 300, explaining that "Most of them were forced to leave the governorate due to the policy of starvation pursued by both state organization and Assad's regime".

"It's impossible for those employees to return to the besieged neighborhoods in Deir al-Zour, as the state organization closes all the land roads leading to the regime-held neighborhoods", the observatory added.

Some neighborhoods of the city of Dier al-Zour are under the control of the state organization, while the others are still held by Assad's regime.
