Twelve civilians have been killed on Tuesday May 28, by the Russian airstrikes on towns and villages of Aleppo's western countryside.
The Russian warplanes waged several airstrikes on the western countryside of Aleppo and fired thermobaric bombs on a public merket in the town of Kafr Haleb, which led to the death of 10 civilians including 3 children and 2 women, while many others were injured, Mohammed Haj Hussein, the director of Civil Defence in the western stripe told Baladi News.
Another woman was killed by the thermobaric bombs fired by Russian warplanes on the outskirts of al-Atareb city, Haj Hussein added.
The bombardment also targeted the villages of al-Bawabiye and Kamari in Aleppo's southern countryside, which led to the deat of a civilian and the injury of four others.
Due to the same bombardment dozens of sheep died, and agricultural lands were scorched.
Since Monday evening, May 27, Assad and Russia's warplanes expanded the escalation in the north and northwestern Syria to reach the towns and villages of Aleppo's countryside, leaving dozens of casualties.
