The warplanes of the US-led coalition waged several raids on the Iranian militia's positions near the cities of Albukamal, al-Mayadeen, and al-Badiya Ashamia in eastern Deir Ezzor's suburb on Tuesday after midnight, reliable sources told Baladi News.
The raids continued for more than three hours on the ammunition depots in Albukamal and al-Mayadeen military airport which is used by Iran, the source revealed to Baladi News.
Observers said that the coalition's raids might be paving the way for an expected military operation which would be waged by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) backed by the International Coalition against the Assad regime and Iranian militias on the banks of Euphrates river near Iraqi borders.
It's noteworthy that SDF has recently brought reinforcements to al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor. Meanwhile, the Coalition's forces dispatched more reinforcements to the area, including armored vehicles, four-wheels vehicles and logistic equipment in preparation for the military operation which aims to block the land rout against Iran (Tehran,Baghdad, Damascus, Beirut) and to prevent the Assad regime and Iranian militias from establishing any military bases in the region.
