Abu Khaled al-Shami, the leader of the military wing of Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) vowed Assad regime and Russia to respond fiercely on their continual bombardment on the Syrian north.
"HTS intended to respond to the regime's shelling with artillery and rocket launchers on the liberated areas, and this response was by targeting the fire sources in different positions, which left casualties among the regime forces," Al-Shami said in a video recording.
"HTS has conducted a military operation where it killed more than 35 members of the regime forces, as well as an Iranian officer," Al-Shami added.
In that video al-Shami promised the residents of the liberated areas with more military operations by HTS against Assad forces:
"We promise our people in the liberated areas with more operations against the regime forces, and violent response by HTS, if the regime forces attempt to to progress towards the liberated areas, and the facts are what you see not what you hear."
HTS has transformed its system from brigades and divisions to a more organized army, by creating an army specialized in the military operations, and another for defense and support in case of any progress by the regime forces towards the liberated areas," a military source told Baladi News exclusively.
