The Turkish army has counteracted fires shot from the city of Tel Rifaat in northern suburb of Aleppo, which is controlled by the Democratic Union Party (PYD,) Turkish Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The Kurdish Units located in Tel Rifaat targeted the Turkish base in north Aleppo with heavy machine guns, Baladi News correspondent who observed the clashes reported. The Turkish forces responded to the fires by shelling the source of fires with heavy artillery, Baladi correspondent added.
"Members of the Kurdish Units are trying on a daily basis to infiltrate to the positions of the National Army, and they succeeded on Monday in infiltrating to one of the watching points, where they killed 5 fighters of the National Army," Baladi correspondent cited a military sources in the National Army as saying, adding that no reinforcements have been sent to the National Army yet, because that point locates in a remote area and the road is blocked with mud.
"The Kurdish Units is taking advantage of the weather, trying to infiltrate everyday, but we always hinder the infiltration attempts," the military source added.
