The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced, Friday March 1, the start of the attack on Islamic State's (Daesh) last pocket in Deir Ezzor, east Syria.
"After completing the evacuation of civilians by our forces, and liberating our fighters who were kidnapped by Daesh, only terrorists remained in Baghous, so our forces started the final military operation, and are clashing with the terrorists for the final liberation," Mostafa Bali, SDF spokesperson wrote in a tweet.
In the same context, the Euphrates Post news network reported that a US Marines forces were sent to lead the operation of raiding the last pocket of the ISIS organisation in Baghouz, east of Deir Ezzor.
The Marines forces arrived with the reinforcements of the SDF to raid the last pocket of Daesh, after the refusal of Daesh fighter to surrender, and preferring to fight until death.
