The U.S. delivered nearly 150 truckloads of armored vehicles and equipment to the terrorized regions in Syria late Monday, signalling non-withdrawal from the country, the Anadolu Agency reported.
Trucks loaded with armored vehicles, construction equipment and power plants, crossed the Semalka gate in Iraq-Syria border to reach the depot belonging to YPG/PKK in the Harab Isk and Sarrin villages, according to AA.
The trucks were carrying Humwee vehicles, known as multi-purpose vehicles with high motion capability, which the U.S. gives to the YPG/PKK affiliated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the AA added.
The delivery occurred when Turkish and U.S. officials were holding meetings in Washington on the establishment of a safe zone in northern Syria, and the roadmap for stability in Manbij.
The sources in the region said some 400 trucks were sent to the regions controlled by the YPG/PKK in Syria from Iraqi side since the beginning of the withdrawal process.
The arrival of the convoy coincided with the voting of the U.S. Senate to oppose the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
Last month, U.S. President Donald Trump abruptly announced plans to withdraw 2000 U.S. troops from Syria.
