Turkey intends to start the observation patrols in the demilitarized areas at beginning of next month, within the agreement reached last month in the city of Sochi between the Turkish president and his Russian counterpart, an opposition source told Baladi News.
The first steps in implementing the agreement will follow the quadrilateral summit which will be held in Ankara, October 27, and will define the features of the next phase regarding the liberated areas in Idlib, the source added.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Russian and Turkish sides have finished the preparations to open the international highway Aleppo-Damascus.
It's noteworthy that Russian president and his Turkish counterpart met in September 17th, in Sochi and agreed on establishing a demilitarized area on the contact lines between the regime and opposition forces, and the implementation of the agreement began since the middle of current October.
