Regime forces arrest dozens of men and women in Eastern Ghouta

The intelligence systems of Assad regime waged a campaign of arrests on Wednesday night, in the eastern Ghouta, and arrested more than 40 young men who were previously revolutionary activists and dissidents from Assad army, Baladi News correspondent reported.

The regime forces also arrested several women from the city of Douma, on the charge of contacting their relatives who were forcibly displaced to the Syrian north, where they received  calling cards to check in the police station of the city, then they were taken to the "Khatib" intelligence center, and their fate is unknown yet, local sources said to Baladi News.

Assad forces took control over eastern Ghouta after a fierce military campaign, which lasted for two months and resulted in the death of more than 2000 civilians, as well as the forcibly displacement of thousands of civilians and opposition fighters, and the regularization for those who wanted to stay.
