The organisation of Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham published an official statement, on Monday, in which it declared its attitude on the Russian-Turkish agreement signed in Sochi, over the province of Idlib.
“The organization preferred to postpone its attitude on the agreement to make the proper consultations and communications with the rest of the revolutionary components in the liberated north,” the statement clarified.
“It sought to provide security and safety for civilians with all the legitimate means available by the balanced legal policy and its controls, without hurting civilians with conspiracies, by dragging them to an illusory security and false claims that proved false more than once," The statement said.
"The choice of jihad and fighting is a way to achieve the objectives of our blessed revolution, foremost the overthrow of the criminal regime, and the release of prisoners, and ensure the return of the displaced to their home safe," added.
In its statement Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham stressed that “The weapon is a safety valve for the Sham revolution, and a thorn to protect the Sunnis and defend their rights, and liberate their land, and we will not give it up or hand it over.”
Tahrir al-Sham warned of the dodge of the Russians, and it attempts to weaken the revolution side, and to limit its real role politically and militarily, and that this is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances and consequences.
The statement concluded by calling upon for the states of the world to "assume their moral responsibilities towards the Syrian people and their suffering in the camps of oppression and humiliation, adding that anyone who stands by this criminal regime will be stigmatized, and history will not for get it."
