The director of the media office in Failaq al-Sham denied, on Sunday, that the corps withdrew its heavy weapons from the contact lines with the regime militias and their allies in the southern and eastern countrysides of Idlib and the southern countryside of Aleppo.

In a private statement for Baladi News "Seif al-Raad" the director of the media office said: "all the news circulated on the social media websites regarding the withdrawal of Failaq al-Sham from its positions are fake, and our weapons are still in their right positions."

"On September 22, The National Front for Liberation issued a statement announcing its assent and support to the Sochi agreement under the auspices of the Turkish guarantor, and confirmed that it does not trust Russia and the fighters will keep their hands on the trigger, ready for any emergency or treachery by the enemy," al-Raad added.

He indicated that the heavy weapons already located in the second and third defensive lines on the fronts, pointing out that fortifying processes are still going on on all the fronts and in all the contact lines with Assad and his allies.

Several news sources circulated on Sunday news that said Failaq al-Sham withdrew its heavy weapons from the front lines adjacent to the regime control areas as a start to implement the terms of Sochi agreement.
