The Russian Today reported that another U.S. guided missile destroyer has arrived in the Mediterranean.
With the arrival of this destroyer, the U.S. may now have 200 "Tomahawks" ready for a strike on Syria, the RT said.
In details, the USS Bulkeley (DDG-84), an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, entered the Mediterranean through the Straits of Gibraltar on Wednesday, the Russian news agency Interfax reported citing international maritime monitoring data. A Gibraltar-watcher confirmed the destroyer’s transit on September 12.
In an attempt to deter any U.S. military action against Assad, Russia conducted massive naval maneuvers off the Syrian coast last week, culminating in marine landing drills and missile launches.
U.S and its allies are preparing for a strike in Syria in case of a chemical attack by Assad in Idlib. Meanwhile, Russia claims that the Syrian opposition and the White Helmets of Idlib are staging a chemical attack to provoke a Western military intervention in Syria.
