Baladi News - Assweida
Reporting by: Hudheifa Halaweh
A number of the regime forces and the militias loyal to them have been killed and injured by the members of the Islamic State in the countryside of Assweida, on Friday, August 24.
Local sources reported that dozens of members of the regime forces and their militias have been transported by the ambulances, after being injured during the clashes with the organisation of IS.
Nine members of the regime forces have been killed, while more than 49 have been injured, in the area of "Qabr alSheikh Hussein," according to the sources.
On the other hand, pro-Assad media reported that Assad forces took control over the area of "Qabr alSheikh Hussein" after besieging the members of Daesh in the area.
It worth noting that Assad forces couldn't yet release the hostages of Assweida, who are detained by IS, despite the wide ranged military operation waged by the regime forces on the areas controlled by the organisation.
