Dozens of buses have entered the towns of Kafraya and Fu'ah in the countryside of Idlib to evacuate the Iranian militias and pro-Assad civilians, in implementation of the agreement between Iran and Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
"Around 60 buses entered to the liberated areas, through al-Eis crossing, within the first phase of evacuating the civilians as well as the militants, towards the regime controlled areas in Aleppo," Baladi News correspondent said.
The second phase is expected to start on Thursday morning, thus to end the siege of the two towns which has been imposed since 2015.
The total number of the evacuated people from both towns is around 6900 militants and civilians.
This comes within an agreement concluded between Iran and HTS, which stated the evacuation of the two towns in return for the release of 1500 detainees in Assad prisons.
It's worth mentioning that the residents of both towns rejected to leave their homes several time, before Iran reaches an agreement with the HTS, states their evacuation towards the regime control area.
