The UAWire quoted TASS news agency that six Russian Su-25 fighters landed at one of the military airfields in the Krasnodar Krai after a multi-day mission in Syria, according to the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Second Command Lieutenant General Victor Sevostianov.
"After a long trip to Syria, the servicemen of our legendary 4th Air and Air Defence Forces Army of the Southern Military District returned home. The crews have fulfilled the critical task of liberating a friendly country from the international terrorists, " Sevostianov said.
According to him, the military pilots conducted daily flights, including at night, providing control of air space in the areas of de-escalation zones.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 27 aircraft and helicopters as well aviation specialists and technical staff, special-purpose medical units and military police returned to the bases of their permanent deployment from Hmeimim airbase in Syria.
