Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said that there are not any Iranian or Hezbollah troops in the Syrian south, and that there are only tens of advisers but no militants.
Liberman stressed that the Israeli demand is very clear, which is the complete withdrawal of Iran and Hezbollah from the Syrian territories.
Liberman statements coincided with a military escalation by the regime on the city of Daraa, where 5 civilians were killed and more than 10 injured by the regime's bombardment on the countryside of Daraa.
Analysts said that Liberman's statements are considered as green light for the regime to start a military offensive in Daraa.
In the context, a senior field commander revealed that regime forces are willing to raid Daraa in the following few hours, calling for the opposition factions there to confront the regime and thwart any attempt to progress.
