A violent explosion shook the Syrian desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, caused by an attack by the “Islamic State” organization with a booby trapped vehicle, targeting a gathering of members of the regime forces and their allies.
The reliable sources of the Syrian Observatory confirmed that the attack took place near Owayrid Dam area a few kilometers away of Palmyra city, at a distance closer to the area controlled by the Syrian opposition factions supported by the International Coalition in al-Tanaf.
The Syrian Observatory documented the death of 9 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrians and non-Syrians, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.
This attack comes hours after the arrival of hundreds of the “Islamic State” organization’s members aboard buses to the Syrian Desert, of who were evacuated from Yarmouk Camp and al-Tadamon neighborhood in the southern part of the capital Damascus, after a secret agreement between the “Islamic State” organization and the regime under the Russian supervision.
