Baladi News - Damascus
Around 25 days have passed since the beginning of the offensive launched by the regime and its militias on the southern neighborhoods of Damascus. However, despite all the military concentration and the massive destruction caused by the offensive, and dozens of civilians victims, all the regime's attempts have failed in capturing the neighborhoods of Yarmouk and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad, what prompted the regime to ask for the assistance of the Russian backed ''Tiger's'' militias.
Pro-Assad websites reported that the Tiger forces have arrived to fronts of Yarmouk and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad on Saturday, to participate in the battles against Daesh organization, after the failure of 12 squads of the regime forces in making any apparent progress against the organization.
According to "Nawras Studies Center" 12 squads of the regime forces have failed in accomplishing the mission of capturing the areas controlled by Daesh.
Around 700 elements of the regime and the militias loyal to them were killed in the battles, including a number of officers with different ranks, during their attempts to break into the southern neighborhoods and control them.
The southern neighborhoods of Damascus, controlled by the Daesh organization are subjected to ground and aerial offensive by the regime and the militias loyal to them, for 24 day respectively, in order to control the whole region after displacing the people of Yalda, Babila, and Beit Sahm neighborhoods.
