An Iranian agency leaked news that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard transported Assad's family to Tehran, while a Russian news agency denied the news.
Amed News website, known for leaking news from inside the Iranian regime, reported from private sources that there is a state of panic and fear among the leaders of the Revolutionary Guard and their families in Syria. "The Revolutionary Guard transported the families of the Syrian leaders from Syria to Iran in the late evening of Monday," added the sources.
The sources indicated that among the families which will be transported to the capital Tehran is President Bashar Al-Assad's family, and it will arrive before the end of this week.
On the other hand, the Russian agency "Sputnik" said an official source - without naming him - denied the news that was reported by some media about the escape of the family of President Bashar Al-Assad to Tehran. The source said "These news are completely unfounded."
It's noteworthy that Washington and some Western countries has threatened to launch a military operation against Assad regime after committing a chemical massacre in the city of Douma in eastern Ghouta, in which dozens of civilians were killed, the most of whom were women and children.
