The Kurdish Units YPG raided, on Thursday afternoon, the village of Om Kuheif in Tal Hamees countryside south of Qamishli, and arrested dozens of residents of the village, in preparation for displacing them into the areas out of their control.
Reliable sources told Baladi News that YPG arrested more than 50 civilians, including the elderly, after storming the village of Om Kuheif. The source said this arrest comes against the backdrop of the participation of some young relatives of village residents in the Operation of Olive Branch, in Afrin, beside the Free Syrian Army. The source added that the Kurdish Units raided the village once again and threatened the residents to displace them by force toward Jarablus area in northern countryside of Aleppo, which is controlled by the Free Syrian Army.
It should be noted that after capturing the area of Tal Hamees and the surrounding villages, more than two years ago, the YPG militia burnt dozens of houses in Om Kuheif village in revenge for the people whose sons joined the ranks of the Free Army, since the start of the Revolution in Syria.
