Baladi News – Homs (Saleh al-Dahhiek)
The military factions in the Homs northern countryside issued on Sunday a joint statement confirming their adherence to the presence of the Turkish Republic as guarantor for any agreement concerning the province of Homs.
The factions stressed their continued pursuit of a solution that alleviates the sufferings of the Syrian people and guarantees the improvement of their lives. At the same time, they insisted on their right to self-defense and the protection of people from any aggression.
The statement stressed that the civil, military and political revolutionary institutions in Homs are the only parties entrusted with representing the province in any negotiations. The decision is taken in consultation between these institutions before any outputs are approved or accepted, and no one has the right to speak on behalf of Homs except the existing revolutionary institutions on the ground.
