Baladi News – (Omar Yusuf)
A mutual report issued by several Syrian human rights organizations revealed that the forces of Assad's regime and the Russian occupation systematically targeted medical facilities in Idlib province last April.
According to the report, 25 medical facilities were attacked in April, at an average of one attack every 29 hours. It was also found by independent parties that 91% of the attacks had been assaulted by Russia and Assad's regime.
The information included in the report revealed that Assad's regime and Russia were responsible for all the 8 attacks against hospitals and healthcare centers during April, which provides services for 1.3 million people in total, exceeding the number of Brussels' population. This information was based on statements by witnesses as well as directors at these facilities.
According to the report, the attacks took place without any previous warnings despite the absence of any active hostile actions near the centers.
Those involved in the preparation of the report consider it as an added value to other efforts that aim at defining damage as well as clarifying and comparing visual contents with witnesses testimonies and flights monitoring data (6343 observations) provided by an organization that observed the movement of warplanes near the targeted facilities at the times of the attacks.
