Head of "Souriya al-Watan" party, Majd Niazi, who describes herself as the "patriot opponent", revealed on her page on Facebook that the wife of a minister in Assad's government has bought 9 villas in Qura al-Assad in Damascus. The scandal that was revealed by Niazi aroused the ire of regime's loyalists, while she didn't mention the name of the minister of his wife.
According to official sources, the salary of a Syrian minister is about 100,000 SYP which equals less than 200$! On the other hand, international reports confirm that the Syrian economy collapsed drastically during the war that Assad is launching against the revolution of the people as some reports pointed out that Syria has lost about 300 billion US dollars in seven years.
Assad's regime booked its place in the ten most corrupted countries in the world, according to the "Corruption Perceptions" of the International Transparency Organization of 2016.
According to local reports, most of the security officials in Assad's regime are corrupt as some of them work in selling the Syrian ruins to the international mafia, while others got huge sums of money in exchange for the facilitation they provide for the Iranians and other militias.
On the other hand, officers in Assad's regime and security forces became professionals in stealing fuel from Assad's army's supplies and then selling it along with selling spare parts of vehicles, not to mention trafficking with the detainees as they earn huge amounts of money by kidnapping civilians and then negotiating over them.
