The local council of al-Marj region in Damascus countryside issued a statement in which it condemned the international silence against the massacres that the warplanes of Assad's regime and its Russian ally are perpetrating in eastern Ghouta and al-Marj region.
The statement condemned targeting schools and civilians gatherings with more than ten raids in the last 24 hours which resulted in the martyrdom of a woman along with the injury of dozens, including women and children in the raid that targeted the town of Outaya on the 27th of July, 2017.
The statement also pointed out that no military factions exist in the targeted regions and this action is against all international norms and laws and a flagrant breach of the de-escalation agreement.
The council demanded the International Community represented by the UN and the guaranteeing parties of the de-escalation agreement to shoulder their responsibilities regarding these violations that claimed the lives of women and children and hold the responsible parties accountable.
The Council also sent a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations to move immediately to protect the besieged civilians and stop the bloodbath in eastern Ghouta.
