Pro-regime media sources confirmed the proliferation of dozens of fields planted with cannabis in the city of Hama within the regime-held regions and the areas controlled by "Hezbollah".
Official regime-affiliated media sources said that regime forces found some amounts of cannabis planted in one of the houses in the city of Hama, along with confiscating more than 1000 grams of cannabis seeds and seizing 250 grams of crushed cannabis which are ready to be sold.
Pro-regime citizens commented on the news saying that this campaign aims at covering the biggest crime which is the massive fields of cannabis planted by Hezbollah in al-Ghab plain and the outskirts of Hama.
The field activist in Hama, Salwa al-Hamwi, said that regime forces deliberately posted the pictures of the confiscated material to show themselves as being behind drug traffickers, but the reality is that they provided Hezbollah with water to irrigate the drugs they planted.
al-Hamwi pointed out that regime forces are turning a blind eye towards the vast areas that Hezbollah planted with cannabis and no one dares to reach those regions as if they were closed military zones.
