In a bloody day, Raqqa province witnessed the murder and injury of dozens civilians in airstrikes and artillery shelling by the international coalition forces and Syria's Democratic Forces (SDF), local sources reported, adding that 8 civilians were killed last night in Nazlat Shahada town, including 5 from one family.
The same sources added that 15 civilians were killed in the Saif Al-Dawlah neighborhood when Al-Najm building was targeted by the international coalition, mostly children, pointing out that they belonged to 3 families.
In the massacre committed by the international coalition forces on Wednesday morning, the death toll rose to 20 civilian victims in the towns of Zour Shamar and Ma'adan east from the city of Raqqa while they were truing to leave the area after warnings from the coalition itself that dropped leaflets calling them to leave.
Meanwhile, a civilian was shot dead on Wednesday while attempting to leave the city. Another civilian was killed when a landmine exploded on the edge of Dalha village while he was trying to escape from the village witnessing clashes between ISIS the SDF militias after a counter-attack was waged by ISIS in which the group reclaimed parts of the village.
On Wednesday, the SDF militia advanced in the district of Nazlat Shahada south of the city center and took over the Red Villas and parts of the districts under an air cover and intensive artillery shelling.
In the meantime, Hawija Shnan village was shelled by the SDF militia, causing the injury of a civilian and the destruction of a tractor, according to local sources.
