The examinations of the first, second, and third years of the students of the Medical School and the Faculty of Dentistry at Free Aleppo University (FAU), established in 2014 in Kafr Takharim of Idlib northern countryside, started.
In an interview with Baladi News, Dr. Jawad Abu Hatab, the Prime Minister of the Syrian Interim Government and the founder of the Medical School, said "More than 400 male and female students of our children at the faculties of medicine and dentistry in the liberated north start their examinations, including the students of the first, second, and third years."
"The first batch of students will be graduated at the end of the academic year according to international scientific standards without any favoritism," the doctor indicated. "We emphasized to our students that they should achieve high levels of scientific knowledge and excellence so that they will become reliable in building the prospering future of Syria after the departure of Assad,' he added.
"The curriculum and syllabus approved at the college are the same as those of Aleppo University. We also developed some curricula, introduced some English language materials, and signed agreements with two universities in the United States to teach some materials over the virtual network for our students to have a better educational level in foreign languages and to give credibility to our future graduates," the speaker added.
It is noteworthy that Assad's regime and its Russian ally killed more than 700 medical workers in more than 700 attacks against medical foundations in the liberated areas according to UN statistics. These statistics also added that at least 50% of hospitals and medical centers in Syria are completely or partially out of service.
