Social media activists shared a video showing militants from the Kurdish YPG militia, the armed wing of Democratic Union Party (PYD) execute a civilian in the countryside of Raqqa province at the pretext of being affiliated with ISIS.
In the video, the militants appeared in winter jackets, which indicate that the execution took place during the past months when the militias stormed some villages in Raqqa province.
Activist Sohaib al-Haskawi quoted private sources as saying that "the video in which shows YPG militants liquidate an individual was found to have been taken in al-Darawsha village in Raqqa eastern countryside."
"The victim who appeared in the video was a civilian not affiliated with any faction. Rather, he had been an ordinary worker in Lebanon all over the past years," the activist said based on the witness of the victim's family.
AL-Haskawi emphasized that when "the Kurdish militias entered al-Darawsha village last April, the civilian Abdul Hameed al-Allash went to the village after he had been informed that his house had been destroyed in an international coalition airstrike." "Then, the militia surrounded and stormed the village, killing al-Allash as well as two ISIS prisoners over the ruins of the house of a neighbor of his," the speaker added.
It is noteworthy that videos have been recently released showing the breaches of PYG militia, the backbone of SDF, against civilians in Raqqa province, including robbery, killing, and torture.
