The death toll of the martyrs of the city of al-Boukamal has raised to 12 after a woman and a girl died today after being targeted by the bombardment on the city on Tuesday, while another child and her father were killed in Deir al-Zor due to the Russian bombardment that targeted the neighborhood of al-Hamidayah on Wednesday.
The city of Deir al-Zor in the eastern countryside particularly is witnessing an escalation by the international coalition, which has become a source of panic and fear for the civilians due to its daily bombardments and massacres under the pretext of combating terrorism represented by ISIS, while the true victims are none by civilians.
In the same context, local media sources reported that 15 airstrikes were launched by the international coalition warplanes on the city of al-Mayadein which created a state of panic among civilians.
The sources added that a woman and her husband were killed by a similar bombardment on the city of al-Boukamal by the coalition's raids. Firas Alawai, a member of al-Sharq news network, sees that the state of escalation by the coalition on Deir al-Zor is a proof that the coming battle will be in Deir al-Zor, especially after the retreat of ISIS in al-Raqqa and its defeat in al-Mosoul.
Alawi confirmed that the daily bombardment by the coalition mainly targets the civilians and their houses, which led to the destruction of a number of houses and the martyrdom of dozens of civilians in al-Boukamal and the eastern countryside.
The bombardment was a main reason behind the displacement of hundreds of civilians towards the rural villages, which are also being subjected to bombardment, Alawi added.
