The Syrian and Russian warplanes launched on Wednesday more than 50 airstrikes with various types of bombs and missiles on the district of Uqayribat and its villages in the eastern countryside of Hama in a remarkable escalation of the military campaign that is being launched by regime forces under a Russian air cover on the countryside of Hama.
Baladi News correspondent in Hama's countryside, Ahmad al-Ali, said that the Russian warplanes have used in their campaigns on the district of Uqayribat highly explosive missiles which led to a massive destruction in the residential buildings and civilians' houses.
A military source reported to Baladi News that the Syrian and Russian warplanes have stepped up their bombardment on the eastern countryside of Hama in retaliation for the heavy losses inflicted on regime forces and their allied militias over the past 3 days while trying to advance on the village of Kaleb al-Thawer, in which several militants from regime forces and their allied sectarian militias were killed.
In the same context, the town of Harbanifseh was subjected to an intensive aerial bombardment on Wednesday concurrently with a missile and artillery bombardment on the city of al-Lataminah and the village of al-Zarah in the countryside of Hama.
It's noteworthy that the cities and villages of the eastern countryside of Hama are being subjected to an almost daily aerial bombardment which resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of civilians and a massive destruction in the towns, let alone the displacement on thousands of residents.
