A number of regime militants were killed on Thursday at the front of Ayn Tarma in the eastern countryside of Damascus in an attempt by regime forces to advance on the town.
Baladi News correspondent in Damascus countryside, Tarek Khawam, reported that clashes took place between the rebels and regime forces on the front of Ayn Tarma in a new attempt by the latter and their allied militias to storm into the regions and seize control over them, which resulted in the death of a number of regime militants along with the destruction of a tank for the regime on the front of Ayn Tarma.
The correspondent added that regime forces have used all kinds of heavy and medium weapons in their attack as they bombarded with heavy artillery and surface-to-surface missiles the town of Ayn Tarma. The town was also subjected to airstrikes by the Syrian and Russian warplanes that targeted the neighborhood of Jobar, the town of Hazzah, and the city of Kafr Batnah in the eastern countryside of Damascus.
It's noteworthy that the de-escalation regions include the cities and towns of Ghouta and the neighborhood of Jobar in Damascus, however regime forces are trying to exploit this agreement to advance and control new regions.
