The figures of the Syrian opposition in Geneva seem to be desperate as they couldn’t penetrate the wall of the political transition operation that was built by Assad regime and the Generals of its army and intelligence services, not to mention its main supports Russia and Iran.
A member of the negotiating delegation pointed out that what's happening in Geneva is an attempt to restore Assad's regime as a whole to the country, saying: "They want us to wipe away all the crimes of Assad's regime and turn the page on the destroyed country and the displaced people".
The member who preferred to stay anonymous the Geneva operation is totally blocked and that the attempt by Di Mistura to put new constitutional fundamentals didn't pay off as Assad's regime is insisting on keeping the constitution of 2012 and refusing any new constitutional paper.
De Mistura pointed out that the Kurds must have a word regarding the constitution of the country as they are a main component of the Syrian community.
A deputy of the National Kurdish Council who is also a member of the opposition delegation to Geneva, said regarding the new statements by the UN convoy: "America and Russia have agreed on including the Democratic Union Party in the Geneva negotiations alongside the opposition, which can be considered a reward for them for entering the battle of al-Raqqa and combating ISIS".
Since the beginning of the current round, the United Nations delegation has not met with the Syrian opposition delegation and the first meeting between them is expected to be held on Wednesday, while the United Nations met with the regime's delegation over the past two days.
The deputy head of the delegation, Alice Mofraj, said to Baladi News that this can be attributed to the opposition's cooperation with the United Nations and the completion of many files, unlike the regime that is trying to disrupt the negotiations as it did not contribute at all to the files of the four baskets.
