The leader of the Lebanese militia of Hezbollah "Hassan Nasrallah" called on the Lebanese government to coordinate with Assad regime in order to send the Syrian refugees in Lebanon back to Syria, hinting that his militia and the Lebanese army are about to launch a battle in Arsal on the Syrian Lebanese border.
"Nasrallah" said in a speech that was broadcasted on TV on Tuesday that: "The displaced people spread all over the country and this file needs to be solved. Some people say that contacting the Syrian government gives legitimacy to the Syrian regime and this is not true as the Syrian government has ambassadors in all countries except for a few ones and some of those are negotiating with the Syrian regime overtly or covertly".
The statements of Nasrallah came after a campaign of the Lebanese army on the Syrian refugees over the last few days where they stormed into the town of Arsal on Tuesday and 2 Syrian refugees were killed while many others were arrested, not to mention the campaign that was carried out at the beginning of this month where more than 350 Syrian refugees were arrested along with reporting many martyrs and casualties by activists.
Syrian activists accused Hezbollah militias of pushing the Lebanese army to attack the camps of the Syrian refugees along with their responsibility of setting the fires in the camps and they attributed this to the will by Hezbollah to push the Syrians to go back to the regime-held regions for the sake of recruiting them in the ranks of regime forces to make up for the huge shortage in militants in Assad's army.
It's noteworthy that there are more than 1,200,000,000 Syrian refugees in Lebanon according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lebanon, 34% of them are in al-Bika'a and most of them live in slum-like camps.
