The Assad Medical Syndicate has separated about 1150 doctors from the syndicate, "for violating the laws and regulations that they are undertaking," according to her claim.
Chief of Doctors' Syndicate, Abdelkader Hassan, told the regime-allied Al-Watan newspaper that 150 doctors were dismissed from the syndicate because of dealing with and treating the "armed men" in areas of conflict.
Hassan added that the thousand others were dismissed due to illegal immigration from the country and failure to pay their membership fees.
Since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, Assad's regime has harassed doctors and killed and detained dozens of them at the pretext of treating "terrorists" in the FSA-held areas. Dozens of doctors died due to torture because of treating peaceful demonstrators in the beginning of the Syrian uprising.
It is noteworthy that the number of doctors who have fled Syria over the past six years is estimated at 7,000 out of 3,000 registered at the regime's Syndicate.
