28 factions affiliated to the southern front in the governorate of Daraa have issued a statement in which they considered that the attendance of Astana conference is a betrayal and an approval on dividing the region, confirming their rejection to attend the conference.
The factions attributed the reasons behind boycotting Astana to the inability of the countries guaranteeing the agreement to stop the killing machine in Syria, pointing out that the de-escalation zones have turned into areas of escalation and provided a chance for the regime to kill under the auspices of those countries in exchange for achieving their interests.
The factions added that the regime is exploiting the truces and ceasefire to prepare for launching barbaric operations against different regions of Syria, the last of which was in the city of Daraa. "There are no clear guarantees or any clear vision of what Astana conference is about and what are its proposals", noting that the leaks indicate that the aim of it is to "divide Syria", the factions confirmed.
The factions drew the attention to the continuous flow of militias towards the Syrian south before the very eyes of the guaranteeing and observing countries. The statement also pointed out that Astana equals the criminal with the victim by imposing Iran as a guaranteeing country despite its daily operations against the Syrian people along with supporting Assad clearly and explicitly.
The factions concluded the statement saying that they will not betray the blood of the Syrian martyrs who have given their lives to liberate their people from injustice and oppression and though they will not attend this conference as they consider it a master conspiracy to divide Syria.
