A Call to Rescue the Displaced People of Eastern Hama

Ahmad al-Ali, Baladi News, Hama

The Council of the Free governorate of Hama called upon the relief organizations, foundations and associations to assist the displaced people of the eastern countryside of Hama from the daily and continuous shelling and killing by regime forces and their Russian ally.

The statement reads: "Since the beginning of this month, regime forces have been escalating their fierce campaign on the town of Aqirbat in the eastern countryside of Hama in coordination and cooperation of the Russian air force and under the support of their allied foreign militias. The military campaign coincided with an aerial and land bombardment campaign on the region that contains about 10,000  people of its residents and the displaced from eastern countryside of Aleppo and the countryside of al-Raqqah".

The continuous barbaric campaign on the villages of the area led to the displacement of hundreds of civilians  and families to the region of al-Hamra district in the eastern countryside of Hama.

The council pointed out that most of the councils in the eastern countryside of Hama are too weak to contain the large number of the displaced people.

It is worth mentioning that the eastern countryside of Hama is being subjected to a daily bombardment campaign by the Syrian and Russian warplanes, which claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians and displaced thousands others despite the agreed-upon ceasefire in Astana, which did not include them.
