The media spokesman of the operation room of "al-Bunyan al-Marsus" faction in the city of Daraa, Abuo Shayma'a, said in a private interview with Baladi News that regime forces and their allies are the ones who stopped their military operations east of Daraa camp for Palestinian refugees after suffering heavy losses.
"The operation room didn't stop its military operations completely as it's in a state of defense on many axes and the military readiness of its factions is still at its highest levels; Syrian regime was the reason behind opening the battle of "al-Mawt Wala al-Mazallah" after its attempts to advance towards the old customs and now it returned to renew its attempts to storm from another axis", he added.
Abou Shayma'a pointed out that regime forces wouldn't have stopped their military operations either on the axis of al-Manshiyah or east of the camp if it wasn't for the heavy losses they suffered. Assad regime is hiding under the cloak of humanity through announcing this truce, though the huge military enforcements it brought to Daraa al-Mahatta are still there and this means that it's more likely to break into the region again.
It's noteworthy that "al-Bunyan al-Marsus" factions managed during the past two weeks to repel the most violent attempts by regime forces to storm into the liberated neighborhoods of the city of Daraa. On the other hand, some statistics were published regarding the losses of the regime over the past two weeks on the eastern axis of the camp, which included the destruction of seven tanks, 2 Shilka vehicles, 2 chained bulldozers, and 2 BMB vehicles, as well as killing more than 50 members of regime forces and their allies, including high ranking officers and Iranian advisers, along with members of Hezbollah militia and Fatemiyoun brigade.
