As usual every year, Turkey allowed Syrian refugees residing in its territories to visit their relatives during Eid al-Fitr Holiday.
However, Assad’s regime had another story about these refugees who were driven out of Syria because of its violations.
Assad’s media claimed that these civilians were returning to the regime areas after its army liberated them from Takfiri and Salafi fighters.
Commenting on Assad’s media claims, Baladi News military editor said, “Allowing families residing in Turkey to visit their relatives, particularly in Idlib and Euphrates Shield areas, and return after Eid al-Fitr is a routine followed by Turkey every year. However, the regime seeks to exploit such occasion to show that these civilians prefer returning to its areas to staying in Turkey.”
“Indeed, the number of refugees visiting their families during the holiday does not exceed 50,000, corresponding to less than 1% of Syrians in Turkey, of whom only hundreds reached the regime areas hiding any Turkish documents that could cost them their lives if discovered by the regime,” added the speaker.
“Thanks to its propaganda machine, for which large sums are dedicated, the regime can exploit this case by promoting its lie in several languages to show the world that it is fighting terrorists and seeking a political solution that guarantees the safety and stability of civilians,” concluded the editor.
