A number of the residents of Yarmouk village, 10 km north to Raqqa, which had previously been captured by Syria’s Democratic Forces (SDF), emphasized that their houses were looted and that they were beaten and shot at by SDF fighters after trying to return and inspect their houses.
In a video recording, a resident from the village appeared with blood covering his face. He claimed that he was beaten by the so-called Abu Hamza, the head of the Kurdish militias’ relations office.
A child, two women, and a young pharmacist, were injured when SDF fighters positioned at the checkpoint of Yarmouk village shot at them when they were calling to be allowed to inspect their houses.
In the same context, PYK militia arrested the head of Yarmouk village, Khaled Fahan al-Salloum, as well as Adham Khaled al-Salloum and Khaled Isaak al-Salloum, who appeared in the recording, and took them to their main headquarters in al-Kalta village.
The families of the detained held PYK responsible if the detained sustain any harms and warned of obtaining forced confessions from them.
