The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) reported that the International Coalition forces surpassed all other parties in terms of committing massacres in May with 14 out of a total number of 34 massacres in Raqqa and Deir Ez-Zour provinces.
Out of the 34 documented massacres, Assad’s regime committed 9, the Russian forces committed 1, the international coalition committed 14, ISIS committed, the Kurdish autonomous administration committed 2, and other parties committed 3.
The massacres, according to the report, led to the death of 404 people, including 143 children and 90 women, which means that 58% of the victims were children and women. This too high percentage indicates that the attacks were intentionally launched against civilians.
The report indicated that in May, there was not any significant drop in the number of massacres committed by the regime compared to what had been documented since February. Meanwhile, for the third month in a row, the international coalition continued its violent campaign with more atrocious massacres in the third month than the previous two ones.
