After the withdrawal of ISIS, troops from the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces controlled al-Bawadi and Qasiba villages in al-Hasakah southeastern countryside on Wednesday.
Journalist Ahmad Awwad clarified that the withdrawal of ISIS without any resistance allowed the militia to advance nearly 10 km inside the Syrian territories.
Awwad clarified that the incursion is a prelude to the besiegement of Deir Ez-Zour.
John Ibrahim, the General Commander of Asayish militia, stated in a meeting of the security leaders of the militia two days ago that a well-done plan must be developed to put an end to the Iranian scheme and flagrant interventions in the region in full coordination with the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad.
On the other hand, journalist Ahmad al-Awwad said that the incursion of the Iraqi Shiite militias led 200 families to flee and head towards Markadah for fear of sectarian murders against them. Al-Awwad added that residents’ houses were turned into headquarters and checkpoints were established all around the area.
