"There is a very clear red line for us: the use of chemical weapons by any party would be immediately repelled by France". This sentence was said by the French President Emmanuel Macaron, in which he threatened any party using chemical weapons in Syria with a French action against it.
This statement provoked Syrians who believed that it enhances the silence towards killing their fellow Syrians with traditional weapons, not to forget that Macaron has ignored the call by France and other western countries for holding Assad accountable for his previous chemical crimes.
France is unable to confront Assad
The political analysist "Jamieel Ammar" said to Baladi News that
"France can't move alone in the middle east as it's unable to confront Russia or ignore America".
Ammar believes that France can't hold Assad accountable for his previous chemical crimes due to the permanent Russia veto saying: "Macaron doesn't have authority to take any serious decision in this regard".
It's all about handing over chemical weapons!
The political analysist "Abdulaziz Owjainy" believes that the latest French attitude towards the Syrian case came because the western countries are unwilling to end the war in Syria as it didn't accomplish the missions set for it yet.
"Those countries use media maneuvers to cover their failure in stopping Assad's crimes as all they do is asking him to hand over his chemical weapons, the same weapons that he uses again and again in killing innocent civilians", he explained.
Al-Owjainy added disapprovingly: "Who knows! Assad may use biological weapons next time and then he will not exceed the French red lines! It's a nasty game".
Combating Terrorism is a priority
The Syrian politician "Kemal al-Labwani" views the statements of Macaron as a warning for the Syrian regime and the Russians of not using the chemical weapons, adding that Macaron considers combating terrorism a priority as the attacks by the terrorism triggered by Iran and the Syrian regime forced France to start serious negotiations with Russia hoping to reach agreements with it. al-Labwani believes that France will play a big role in future Syria as being the most able power that can restore stability in the country.
al-Labwany calls for opening cooperation channels with France as long as it doesn’t support division, displacement, or occupation.
