"PYD" Hands Over Dozens of Young Men In Manbij To Assad Regime

The political Committee of the city of Manbij and its countryside revealed on Tuesday that militias of the Democratic Union Party "PYD" handed over 50 young men from the residents of Manbij to regime forces during this May.

The Committee explained in a statement that those young men arrived at the city with their families after Assad regime's control over their villages in the southern countryside of Manbij following the withdrawal of ISIS.

The Committee pointed out that "People's Protection Units" militia has deliberately resorted to restrict their movement and prevent them from entering Manbij without a guarantor, in addition to other impossible conditions. It has also put hundreds of young men in prison and handed over dozens of dissidents and a number of children to regime forces.

The Committee held PYD accountable for the lives of these young men who have been handed over to regime forces and called for the immediate release of the detainees held in its prisons.

The Committee called upon the United States to withdraw "PYD" militia from Manbij and its countryside and stop supporting it in its racist project that is based on entrenching the distinction between the classes of the Syrian people.

It's noteworthy that "PYD" militias admitted last March the delivery of the villages west of Manbij to regime forces, which are located on the fronts between them and FSA factions affiliated to Euphrates Shield operation.
