Commanders at the Free Syrian Army threatened to escalate and start direct clashes against Assad’s regime if it continues its separation policy started a few days ago by erecting 6-meters-high earth berms surrounding recently captured villages.
Waleed Mohammad, a commander at al-Nasr Army, emphasized that chiefs at al-Nasr and al-Nukhba as well as the First Coastal Squad threatened to start a massive military action, considering that the building the wall, if completed by the regime, is a declaration of war.
Mohammad added that the regime has aimed for a long time to capture these villages and towns as well as the farmlands surrounding them to end any hope of their residents to return.
The speaker condemned the international acceptance and indifference about the regime’s practices that disregard the civilian’s rights to settle and return to the towns that they were forced to leave.
It is noteworthy that the regime forces started erecting 20 km-long earth berms as a first step to isolate the opposition-held areas in Hama western countryside.
