SDF Forces Capture Third Largest Dam in Syria

Baladi News – Raqqa (Private)

After days of battles against ISIS, Syria’s Democratic Forces (SDF) captured Kdiran village and al Baath Dam near Raqqa city, local media sources reported.

On the other hand, the international coalition forces warplanes struck on Thursday night the towns of Dibsi Afnan and Dibsi Faraj in Raqqa western countryside, killing two civilians.

In Raqqa northern outskirts, violent clashes took place between ISIS militants and SDF troops that captured several areas only 2 kilometers from the gates of the city.

On the other hand, ISIS militants closed off the Panorama Street in Raqqa with the approach of SDF troops to the city. ISIS erected a gate in the middle of the street, from which only ISIS militants are allowed to pass.

It is noteworthy that SDF gave ISIS militants a time limit until the end of the month to surrender and lay down their arms. Most probably, storming the main stronghold will start after the end of this time limit.
